Legal Aid Alberta is seeking to fill a 6-month temporary full-time Administrative Assistant position working out of our Calgary office. The successful candidate will provide a broad range of administrative support to the legal services team as part of the delivery of legal services for all Legal Aid Alberta (LAA) clients.

Job Description
Reporting to the Office Manager, some of the key responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant position is to:
- Greet and welcome guests when they arrive at office.
- Direct visitors to appropriate person and office.
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable with necessary materials.
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls.
- Order office supplies and keep inventory of stock.
- Other duties as directed by management.
Education and Experience:
- Post-secondary education in administration is considered an asset.
- Previous administrative experience in a law firm is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with complex clients.
- Computer literacy, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Legal Files.
- Experience in accurately maintaining a database.
- Experience using various office equipment (printer, copier, fax, etc.).
- Demonstrated time management and ability to deal with conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.

- Salary Range: $44,300.00 - $58,400.00
