Landscape Construction

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team.

Goodalt Landscape is an established landscape company offering seasonal employment from early Spring to December (can be longer depending on the season). We've been providing landscape maintenance and custom designs/installations for over 20 years. We are a small company that takes pride in customer service, therefore, you would be working directly alongside the owner. If you don't have experience in the landscape industry, you would be learning new skills on a daily basis and building a strong new skillset.

Our season starts with landscape maintenance and follows with construction work as the season progresses leading into the fall. The season is finished with fall clean-ups and maintenance. The day-to-day tasks are always changing which makes this an interesting position. We do no provide lawn cutting services.

Duties:

• Inspect vehicles and equipment daily to ensure safe operation
• Installation of retaining walls, pavers, plantings, reading and understanding landscape plans and elevations, along with all other aspects of the landscape trade.
• Spring & fall maintenance including cutting back perennials and grasses, pruning shrubs and trees, edging, weeding and mulching flower beds
• Experience in landscape maintenance and installation is an asset but we are willing to train the right candidate
• Equipment experience is an asset (skid steer, loader, dump trailer, small power tools etc)
• Communication skills, organization, strong work ethic, attention to detail, a good attitude, and the ability to understand and learn new tasks are essential
• Acknowledge the difficulties of the style of work, ie. Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, working in Hot / Cold / Wet climates.
• Report for work every day required, on time

• G License required and non-negotiable. D or A License a Benefit

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Salary: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• South Huron, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Class G Licence (required)
