Job Overview:
As a Project Lead in our landscape company, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of construction landscape projects from start to finish. Your responsibilities will encompass client communication, team management, project coordination, budgeting, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the landscape industry and demonstrate leadership abilities to manage diverse skill sets within the team.
Job Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the landscape industry or a related field.
- Proficiency in managing all landscape skill sets, as assessed by the Human Nature skill set assessment, or equivalent expertise.
- Client Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all communication with clients and subcontractors throughout project production.
- Conduct meetings, respond to emails, and handle phone calls effectively to address project requirements and concerns.
- Project Management:
- Manage project schedules, budgets, change orders, and expenses coding.
- Approve invoices and address any related questions from clients or vendors.
- Team Management:
- Supervise and coordinate fellow team members' schedules and daily tasks.
- Conduct quarterly check-ins and touch bases to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Client Interaction:
- Organize and facilitate completion walk-throughs with clients and company leadership.
- Capture and store progress photos to document project milestones.
- Independence and Leadership:
- Work autonomously without direct supervision, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Provide training to staff in areas where you possess expert-level skills.
- Equipment Operation and Safety:
- Conduct machine and equipment checks regularly to ensure proper functioning.
- Lead safety meetings to enforce adherence to safety protocols.
- Administrative Duties:
- Enter daily timesheets or submit hours promptly to facilitate payroll processing.
- Operate mini excavators and skid steers as needed for project requirements.
- Technical Skills:
- Interpret scale drawings, read plans, and set elevations for landscape installations.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and coordinate material orders from vendors.
- Company Representation:
- Uphold and exemplify the company's values in all interactions and projects.
