Landscaping Assistant

```Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Landscape Technician to join our team. As a Landscape Technician, you will be responsible for various tasks related to landscape maintenance and construction. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has a passion for creating beautiful landscapes.

Responsibilities:
- Build and install landscape features such as retaining walls, patios, gravel beds, sod, trees and shrubs, and fences
- Irrigate plants and lawns to ensure proper hydration
- Dig trenches for irrigation systems and other underground utilities using both manual and powered equipment
- Utilize hand tools to perform various landscaping tasks
- Conduct routine landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and pruning
- Operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools commonly used in landscaping
- Familiarity with power tools such as chainsaws, trimmers, and blowers
- Ability to maintain and repair mechanical equipment used in landscaping such as trenchers, skidsteers and other equipment
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail, reliable (always shows up to work on time), motivated, and hard working

- Basic mechanical skills, experience pulling a trailer, experience operating a skidsteer and other equipment all considered an asset

- Must have a valid class 5 license , clean drivers abstract, and reliable transportation to shop
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members

- Ability and willingness to follow company safety policies

- This is a year round position including snow removal work in the winter shoveling snow, operating plow trucks, skidsteers and sanding equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
