Lavender Farm Shop Customer Service

We are looking for someone interested in working Customer Service in our lavender boutique during the summer season.

This position is seasonal from mid May to the end of August.

• May Hours are Friday through Sunday 10:30am - 5:15pm
• June, July and August Hours are Wednesday through Sunday 10:30am – 5:15pm
• Must be able to work an occasional holiday or evening during special events

Sparta Lavender Farm is looking for a dependable, personable, energetic individual who loves lavender and communicates effectively. This position will interact with both guests and staff, and is responsible to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for all who visit the Sparta Lavender Farm and its lavender boutique.

Our team members are devoted to hospitality and eager to help any area needing assistance.

Requirements and Experience:

• Experience in Customer Service, retail or hospitality preferred
• Must enjoy communicating with the public and making sure visitors feel welcomed when entering the Sparta Lavender Farm
• Interest and eagerness to learn about lavender and the products we make and sell, as well as the events hosted on our farm
• Confident in handling fast paced ‘rush periods’ while able to keep busy during slower traffic times
• Experience or an aptitude to learn Square Point of Sale System and cash drawer
• Assist in creating content and photos for social media
• Gardening experience is beneficial but not necessary
• This position requires standing, moving, bending and some lifting, up to 25lbs

Some Responsibilities and Duties Include:

• Upholding an energetic and positive work environment
• Keeping retail and other areas clean, stocked and organized
• Educating the customer about products
• Accurately processing sales transactions and packaging orders
• Assisting customers with questions
• Assisting in inventory management and restocking shelves
• Assisting in product creation, packaging and labeling processes
• Answering phone calls and filling customer orders
• Following health and cleanliness guidelines as outlined by Sparta Lavender Farm
• Leading by example and representing the farm in a positive way
• Work availability during normal business hours and event hours as needed
• Assisting other team members as needed.

Job Location:

• Work takes place at 47589 Sparta Line, Aylmer 3km east of the village of Sparta.
• Must have reliable transportation to the workplace
