Lead Devops Engineer

We are looking for a candidate who is ready for the Fastlane willing to work and grow in one of the banks Premium IT Teams.  This job will have you working on a DevOps team, working through epics and sprints to keep up with the rapid pace of our industry.

As the successful candidate, you will:

Collaborate closely with a fast paced development team to maintain a 99.99% uptime ratio
Build a culture of continuous improvement and help us embed DevOps practices and agile methodologies
Provide ongoing 24/7 support and after-hours maintenance of supported systems and services
Provide guidance and coaching to more junior team members
Collaborate with the various Vendor and Technology partners

Qualifications

Your impressive DevOps credentials will feature:

Possesses a university degree/college diploma in Computer Science or equivalent work experience, and 5 to 7 years’ experience in Banking applications OR infrastructure support
5-7 years of supported operating systems of Linux (RedHat)
5-7 years of supported infrastructure of IBM Products (WebSphere, IHS, MQ, LDAP, TSM)
Strong knowledge of DevOps tools (Ansible, Github, Atlassian Products)
Kubernetes/OpenShift experience a positive
ITIL processes including Problem and Change Management, Configuration and Release Management
Knowledge of Oracle products including Oracle, OEM, Golden Gate
Strong experience with AWS cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, Cloud Observability)
Strong experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, AWS CDK)
Strong experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/Openshift)
Strong experience with observability and logging tools (Dynatrace, Elasticsearch)
Strong experience with scripting and programming languages (Python, Bash, JavaScript)
Strong experience with security and compliance in a financial institution or other regulated industry.
Strong experience with GitOps including Continuous Deployment tools.
ITIL processes including Problem and Change Management, Configuration and Release Management
Strong understanding of networking, VM ware, patching.
Experience with Production, DR and non-production environments.
Good documentation skills, ability to write technical procedures, create and update support documents.
Is self-motivated, has a “can do attitude” and customer-service oriented
Displays applied problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and in the team environment.
Demonstrates solid teamwork skills
Exhibits solid coaching and leadership skills
Excellent Communication skills
Willingness to share and learn
Position may require some/limited travel
