Centerfire is currently seeking a Lead Electrical Estimator. This position is based in beautiful Vernon, BC, and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our dynamic company.

Job Location: Vernon, BC

Schedule: Monday - Friday (8 Hour Days)

Responsibilities:

  • Estimation and Bidding: Prepare accurate and timely electrical estimates for various projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to understand project requirements.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine scope of work and required materials.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct comprehensive cost analyses to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
  • Evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier quotes to secure the best value for the company.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers to develop detailed project budgets.
  • Provide ongoing support to the project team with cost tracking and budget management.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Participate in meetings and presentations to discuss project estimates and proposals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of estimators and provide mentorship and guidance.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Leadership experience is an asset.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
