RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervision: Overseeing the production process to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently. This involves managing a team of workers, assigning tasks, and ensuring that production targets are met.

Quality Control: Monitoring the quality of the plastic pipes being manufactured to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications. This may involve conducting regular inspections, implementing quality control procedures, and addressing any issues that arise.

Training and Development: Providing training and guidance to new employees, as well as ongoing training to existing staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.

Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are followed to maintain a safe working environment for employees. This includes conducting regular safety inspections, addressing any safety concerns, and implementing safety training programs.

Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to ensure adequate supply for production demands.

Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.

Communication: Acting as a liaison between management and production staff to convey important information, address concerns, and facilitate effective communication within the team.

Problem Solving: Resolving any production issues or challenges that arise in a timely and effective manner. This may involve troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, addressing quality issues, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12 diploma, or equivalent
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, with Lead Hand being an asset.
• Familiarity with computers for production tracking, training.
• Effective communication skills.
