Natural Forces Solar is a turnkey design-build contractor specializing in the deployment of renewable energy systems. We are based in Dartmouth, NS and provide our services to projects across Atlantic Canada. We are seeking to add Solar Installers to our growing team. Ideal candidates will have a passion for renewable energy with a strong work ethic and access to reliable transportation. They will work as part of our installation team, which specializes in assembling and installing solar photovoltaic (“PV”) systems.

Primary Objective
To safely and efficiently assemble and install solar PV racking systems and mount solar panels. The position will involve any of the following:

General Tasks
Installation of solar PV system racking and solar panel mounting

• Maintain and follow safe working practices
• Complete daily Logs.
• Participate in and complete daily job safety planning and hazard assessments.
• General labour.
• read and interpret blueprints while delegating tasks to Installers.
• quality check work.
• Assemble and install commercial solar PV racking systems and solar panel mounting, Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including torque wrenches, cutting tools, impact drivers, etc Safely operate cutting tools and Heavy lifting up to 75lbs, employing Manual Material Handling best practices as necessary
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Demonstrate professional behavior and pride in your work

Requirements/assets for the position

• Attention to detail
• Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sectors Check
• Previous experience as a roofer, carpenter or in construction trades generally
• Previous experience operating light constructions equipment (Skid steer, scissor lifts)
• Minimum 1 year of Lead Solar installation experience or similar.

Training

• Natural Forces Solar’s training on the best practices for the safe & efficient installation of solar PV racking systems and solar module mounting
• Natural Forces Solar’s general construction occupational health & safety training
• Externally certified Fall Protection & Emergency First Aid + CPR C training

Remuneration

• Hourly pay, approximately 30-50 hours per week of work (ranges from depending on project requirements and site conditions)

Salary: $32.00-$36.00 per hour
