Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Ensure that food is stored properly and safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
- Assist in the planning and execution of menu items
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils
- Understanding of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
