The TAG Logistics Corporation provides transportation and warehousing services to clients in Alberta and Ontario
We seek a full-time Load Planner to plan, visualize, track, coordinate, and manage inbound freight on to various types and sizes of trailers and straight trucks according to defined parameters, for next day delivery.
The Load Planner plans, visualizes, tracks, coordinates, and manages inbound freight on to various trailers and straight trucks according to defined parameters, for delivery.
Basic duties include:
Plan loads based on specific customer requirements, freight dimensions, available or necessary equipment, and driver and delivery schedules.
Schedule time-critical deliveries.
Provide Customer Service to ensure that effective communication is maintained.
Communicate with the driver staff to maintain a positive environment and
enter, track and report information and statistics.
Requirements:
Previous Load Planning experience is necessary. You need to be comfortable around computers, freight docks and equipment, and be mathematically competent. Telephone etiquette that enhances our customer service and driver morale is a must.
The ideal candidate will have:
AS/400 Experience.
LTL Knowledge.
City wide Geographical Knowledge.
Handle tight deadlines
Maintain composure in stressful environments
Critical and Logical thinking
You must:
Be willing to work a graveyard shift.
Pass a Criminal Record Search (conducted during the interview at no cost).
