As a Service Writer for our Edmonton branch, you will be responsible for processing third party invoices and proceed to billing (internal or customers). This role will also be responsible for generating and entering work orders, dispatching mobile services and other tasks in facilitating the unit repair and service processes.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Management of work orders throughout their lifecycle, including daily verification and closure after repairs or service completion.
- Ensure adherence to standard procedures across all work orders (shop, mobile and sublet).
- Coordination of the invoicing process (verify pre-bills, obtain approval, and send for weekly invoicing).
- Support fleet readiness through the active participation in the maintenance of trailer records.
- Update internal systems as required with details including, Out of Service, Physical Characteristics, Trailer Conditions, Condition Ratings, and Tire Depths.
- Under the direction of the Service Manager generate quotations.
- Track and manage communication with various stakeholders.
- Documentation of communication with rentals, customers, parts, and vendors.
- Welcoming of clients and drivers at the service department and notify them promptly upon completion of repairs.
To be successful you’ll need to have the following skills and abilities:
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Excellent customer service, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
- Knowledge and experience in transportation industry is an asset
