Heavy Equipment Repair Service Writer/Administrator

JT Equipment is growing and if your values line up with ours then we want you to know that we are currently looking for an experienced Service Writer/Administrator to join our Team.
Position Summary:
The Service Writer role is crucial to ensuring an efficient repair order process for our Service Department. They initiate and manage all stages in the repair order cycle. In addition, they provide administrative support for departmental needs. Of key importance is their ability to edit documents, paying close attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open RO’s as directed by the service department and request purchase orders from customers.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the full cycle of the Repair Order (RO) process.
- Assist with RO documentation management.
- Work closely with the Shop and Field Managers to update and edit ROs.
- Work closely with Shop and Field Service Technicians to ensure timely execution on all RO related matters.
- Review and edit service reports and ROs for accuracy.
- Review and edit technician time reports.
- Complete Excel spreadsheet related to the service process.
- Additional tasks related to the position from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with information related to the repair and maintenance of Heavy Equipment.
- Comfortable learning new software skills.
- Experience working with service writing software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
