DZ Local Truck Driver – $22 to $29/hr., Full Time, Days

The DZ Local Truck Driver ensures timely delivery of goods to our customers in the Golden
Horseshoe (Toronto to Niagara) and delivers excellent customer experiences.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering goods to customers in an effective and efficient manner
- Ensuring truck is loaded and ready to leave the warehouse at a designated time each morning and returning truck at the end of each day
- Load and unload skids and partial skids
- Provide “white glove” service to specific customers, for instance loading goods into a storage room.
- Inspect truck daily and record and report issues to manager
- Efficient and effective completion of all required documentation
- Ensure truck is clean, presentable, and refueled at the end of each day
- Follow all traffic laws and report road incidents to manager
- Follow accident procedures
- Maintain a clean drivers abstract

Qualifications:
- A valid DZ driver’s license
- A minimum of 12 months driving experience and comfortable driving in Toronto
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Able to do continuous lifting up to 50 pounds and operating warehouse vehicles and material handling equipment
- Able to sit, unload goods and drive for up to 8 hours per day.
- Able to tolerate traffic, waiting for receiving windows etc.
- Ability to maneuver a truck in difficult/tight situations
- Able to manage a route and make 12 to 20 deliveries per day
- Ability to work effectively and responsibly under minimal supervision.
Compensation:
- Salary based compensation along with a benefits package and bonus program
- Hourly rate $22 to $29/hr. based on experience

Salary: $22.00-$29.00 per hour
