SalaryWe are looking to add outgoing and responsible candidates for our growing Yard and Warehouse team, to build our locally operated business, to better serve our community.
The right candidates would be a hard working individual(s) who are physically fit and able to safety lift a minimum of 50lbs, enjoys teamwork, provides excellent customer service, and willingness to continually develop professional skills and knowledge base.
Yard person(s) are responsible for maintaining the Lumber yard as well as load and unload building materials.
On the job training is available
Job duties would include but are not limited to:
- Keeping the yard clean and the inventory neat and orderly.
- Greet and serve yard customers
- Be familiar with the locations(s) of all inventory and equipment.
- Store material in the correct location in the yard.
- Assist customers with advice, information, and/or help in gathering and loading orders.
- Assist customers in handling large or heavy items.
- Take all necessary safety precautions when handling freight, tools, and equipment.
- Receive incoming merchandise. Report any shortages, damaged goods, and backorders to your supervisor.
- Be familiar with the safe operation and maintenance of equipment, including a forklift, lumber cart, pallet jack, banding machine, etc.
