Roles/Responsibilities:
• Help improve safety for staff, contractors, customers and visitors on McCain Carberry
• Provide general grounds-keeping and maintenance services (i.e. snow clearing, grass cutting, etc.)
• Perform general maintenance to external buildings, fences and signs
• Perform routine cleaning duties
• Operates/Maintain various pieces of equipment to perform tasks (i.e. trucks, loaders, tractors, bobcat etc.)
• Provide semi-skilled maintenance services and general assistance to tradespersons
• Operate/Maintain Wellfields not currently operated via SCADA
• Help maintain building exterior (i.e. gopher management, removing snow off of roof, managing ice buildup on down spouts/eaves trough as required etc.)
• Help with Treated Waste Water Disposal responsibilities
• Railway/rail line maintenance activities
• Could be involved in special Maintenance Projects throughout the year, or during the annual shutdowns
• Other duties as assigned
Physical Effort and Requirements
• Lifting weight to a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Stair / ladder climbing as required
• Working at heights
• Bending, crouching, grasping
• Visual and manual dexterity
• Standing for extended periods
• Working in heat or cold
• Continuous walking
Qualifications
• Minimum of Grade 12 education.
• Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and is very responsible.
• Must have previous experience operating mobile equipment such as loaders, forklift, tractors, genies or scissor lifts.
• Training will be provided to the successful candidate.
• Must be willing to work as part of a team and independently.
• Good computer skills with experience in MS Word and Excel.
• Must be able to maintain accurate record keeping as required per job basis.
• Class 1 driver license would be considered an asset
