The Fleet maintenance support role provides for the ongoing daily and seasonal maintenance needs for all Maligne Lake fleet and on location mechanical services needs. This is a dynamic role and will include any, or all, of the following:
- Assist the fleet maintenance manager and lead mechanic as required in all maintenance assistance with cruise boat & ground fleet needs.
- Performing daily maintenance checks as assigned
- Supporting general facility maintenance needs as to our on site mechanical needs (Power generator engines, HVAC, minor repairs to kitchen service equipment)
- Completing general repairs within scope of experience/skill including minor carpentry, plumbing, landscaping and light equipment operations
- Picking up supplies, taking recycling to the town depot
- Other duties as assigned
- Mature, energetic, dependable and self-motivated
- Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision
- Previous mechanical familitarity an asset (diesel engine knowledge)
- Comfortable using variety of hand and power tools
- Some general light maintenance and repair skills are preferred
- Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent), required
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and capable of manual duties, required, which may include working at heights, use of manual and power tools
- Organizational and time management skills
- Internally motivated with a consistently high level of energy
- High attention to detail and safety focused
- Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment. Be prepared for all weather conditions (snow, rain, wind, hail)
- Must meet the organization grooming and appearance standards
