Job Description
Maintenance Specialist
Reporting to the Chief engineer, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Trouble shoot and repair automated computerized control systems, PLC and control circuits.
- Inspect plant equipment.
- Routine equipment maintenance & scheduled PM tasks.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams.
- Troubleshoot equipment & perform corrective action and repairs.

- Starting wage $30.22/hour, 3 months wage $31.89/hour, 6 months wage $32.67/hour and after 1 year $33.49/hour
- Gas allowance if commuting from Cochrane or Calgary.
- Compressed scheduled work week of 4 days at 10hours 1:30pm-11:30pm; or 5 days at 8hours at 3:30pm-11:30pm weekend availability
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a commercial fast paced production facility an asset.
- Pervious vocational training an asset
- Ability to trouble shoot and repair machine controls.
- Experience with steam boilers an asset.
- Good mechanical hands on abilities.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams.
- Routine equipment inspections maintenance and Preventative Maintenance.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
