Job Title: Maintenance Technician II
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to join our team at our rapidly growing laundry facility in Ottawa. As a Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our industrial machines. This role is crucial in maintaining our high level of service and meeting the demands of our expanding customer base. The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial machinery maintenance and possess the necessary skills to effectively troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems, and boilers
- Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot industrial equipment
- Maintain indoor and outdoor housekeeping, monitor inventory supplies, and maintain maintenance records
- Ensure all machinery is running at full capacity to minimize downtime and backlogs in work
- Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement process improvements
- Utilize technical expertise to read maintenance literature and blueprints for effective troubleshooting
- Maintain basic Microsoft Office computer skills to document maintenance activities
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, specifically working with industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment
- Ability to read maintenance literature printed in English and interpret blueprints
- Basic Microsoft Office computer skills
- Ability to stand for up to 7 hours in an 8-hour shift
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Knowledge of HVAC and boilers
- Preferred experience with welding activities including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing
