Job Purpose
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair and upkeep of the equipment in our fleet consisting of Vacuum Trucks, High Pressure Water Blasting Pumps and Hot Wash Units servicing the industrial sector. This includes but is not limited to handling assigned work orders, providing a variety of routine maintenance tasks, dealing with incoming work requests, maintaining service records on our fleet management software, communicating existing and potential issues with the supervisor, cleaning and maintaining tools, and abiding by all safety measures and policies. Teamwork, respect, integrity, and a great attitude are necessary to succeed in this role.
Expected days/hours of work:
- On season (March to November) average 10 hour days generally Monday to Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- Off season (November to February) average 8 hour days Monday to Friday and Saturdays as needed.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing service repairs and troubleshooting on various equipment in the fleet
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic issues on various types of equipment.
- Welding experience an asset
- Must have excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat, efficient and orderly fashion.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
- Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
- Accounts for all time and for all materials used in performing assignment tasks and enters them in fleet management.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as a team.
- Actively participate in 4pm dispatch review call daily
