Maintenance Manager

We are looking to fill a position for a Full Time Maintenance Manager at the Howard Johnson Winnipeg West. We are a full service hotel consisting of 43 guest Rooms, Sports Bar & Grill, VLT Bar & Beer Store. We pride ourselves on having a well looked after facility.

This position will entail looking after all maintenance related items with the hotel and keeping it in working order as well as tackling all preventative maintenance items and further improvements.

Successful candidates must be motivated, well organized and skilled in the areas of building maintenance. They must be able to act quickly on problems when they arise and solve them professionally. You must also be clean and tidy.

Skills required for the job are as follows:

• Electrical Systems Knowledge

• Drywalling including mudding and taping

• Painting

• Technical Skills

• Building Maintenance Knowledge

• PTAC unit knowledge

• Be able to perform preventative maintenance without guidance

• Perform General Labouring Duties

Must Have's for the Job

• Valid Drivers Licence

• Vehicle

We want our Maintenance Manager to be with us for the long term. We are looking for someone to grow with and also provide them with that. We do not want to babysit this position and want our successful candidate to take charge of the department and make it his/her own.

Salary: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
