Position Title: Maintenance/Custodial Manager
Reports To: Plant Superintendent
Position Overview: The primary role of the Facility Maintenance Coordinator is the caretaking and regular custodial servicing of the plant, offices and grounds.
Requirements:
· Cleaning restrooms in plant and changing towels
· Carrying out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
· Perform waste management functions
· Mopping & sweeping floors
· Window washing
· Operate auto scrubber
· Operate forklift to move material
· Relocate furniture when required
· Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space and parking lot
· Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas and spread snow melting chemicals.
· Make minor adjustments and repairs such as changing bulbs or repairing wires, repairing carpets
· Follow all health and safety regulations
· Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
· Perform other routine maintenance jobs and all general cleaning
Qualifications:
- Two to three (2 - 3) years of janitorial experience
- Proven working experience as a janitor
- Basic knowledge of English is required to understand written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
- Capacity to take direction
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and suppliers
- Organizational skills and ability to follow-through on tasks/feedback.
