While supporting Major Partners Division as a Major Partners Projects Student, you will contribute to work that will build and strengthen your skill sets and help you learn more about how The City of Calgary partners with external organizations to deliver results for Calgarians. Primary duties include:
  • Support and collaborate with Major Partners division staff to complete one-time research, data and other projects related to partnerships and grant programs.

  • Support gathering and improving data related to The City's partnerships.

  • Support research and environmental scans to inform policy development and updates, reports and background materials.

  • Analyze and summarize information about best practices and practices in other jurisdictions, among other tasks.

 
Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a second-year diploma or degree in Social Sciences, Non-profit studies, Policy studies, Business or Communications.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Success in this position requires well developed communication skills, ability to gather and interpret a broad range of information and data on a variety of potentially unfamiliar topics, strategic and analytical thinking, the ability to pay attention to detail and the ability to work both collaboratively across a team and independently towards clearly defined outcomes and deliverables.
Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2024.
  • If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).

Compensation: $27.16 per hour
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
