  • Reports to: Senior Manager, Global Wealth Management Competitive Analysis

Job Purpose:

The Business Support Manager of International Wealth Management Finance, will work closely with several finance teams across the Bank's international footprint, providing support in the planning/forecasting and reporting processes, as well as providing guidance and leadership. Contributes to the overall success of International Wealth Finance in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

1) Manages and enhance Business relationships and operations at International Wealth Management Head Office:

  • Ensure precision, timeliness, and integrity of financial results through effective management of Business reviews
  • Develop and implement streamlined measurement and reporting of Business line KPIs, encompassing Customer Primacy, Partnership, Channel, and Staffing
  • Elevate the accuracy and promptness of business lines reports for enhanced reporting efficiency

2) Steer the Annual Plan and quarterly forecast for International Wealth Management business lines:

  • Develop and implement Business line P&L models integrating economic macro factors, product profitability metrics, and strategic insights to establish Country Plan targets
  • Coordinate the comprehensive Forecast and Business Plan processes for business line's financial and non-financial KPIs
  • Conduct monthly review meetings with Business Lines
  • Collaborate with Country and Business Line heads to align projections and ensure coherence among internal partners and targets.
  • Prepare financial executive summaries for Finance and Business Line executives

3) Act as Business Partner to support the International Wealth Management business case strategy

  • Develop and implement Business Case models integrating economic macro factors, product profitability metrics, and strategic insights to establish creditable 5 year financial forecasts
  • Research literature and consulting engagements to help ensure decisions are made on facts
  • Develop and manage country Business Case training sessions

4) Act as Business Partner to support the Bank/ business strategy

  • Support the implementation of strategies such as the Global Wealth Customer Primacy strategy
  • Support the Integration of divestitures and newly acquired entities in existing reporting, forecasting and plan processes
  • Identify and capture material opportunities based on performance analysis of the business lines.
  • Drive quarterly segment/ product discussion with countries
  • Continue to act as trusted business partner.

5) Manages ad-hoc Business analysis to support business strategies

  • Examples include Enterprise-Wide Stress Testing (EWST), Global Wealth Management Competitive Analysis, Business Line Management initiatives, Profitability Models, Business Development initiatives, operational efficiencies and any other finance-related inquiries as formulated by Senior Management and Sales Management Groups.

6) Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge

  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her/they respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • CFA or MBA and/or Accounting Designation preferred
  • 8 year's work experience in financial industry, experience in Research, Strategy, Investment Banking and or Wealth Business lines
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, especially with senior level management
  • Material knowledge of the Wealth Management and Financial Institutions industry and their products/businesses
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office products
  • Built complex dynamic financial models to analyze investment opportunities and project future earnings
  • Experience with Oracle Essbase, Hyperion Planning & Forecasting and PeopleSoft
  • Fluency in Spanish an asset
