The Manager, Commercial Finance is responsible for providing financial direction & leadership related to the Commercial Teams (Marketing and CDO). This is accomplished by managing all financial & accounting functions for our Brands and Customers. Net Sales associated with this role is projected at approximately CAD$270MM in 2024.

Responsibilities include volume & commercial spend (GTN and A&P) forecast consolidation and variances analysis, Organic Growth, ASP & margin management, promotional spend ROI analysis & analytical review of P&L activity. The Manager, Commercial Finance is responsible for providing financial insights on all customer's financial drivers including Net Sales, Margin, ROIs, Go To Market Strategies, Invoicing, and other key financial KPI's and communicating impactful analytics with the Commercial Teams to drive the most effective commercial plans & programs. In addition, the Manager, Commercial Finance is responsible for ensuring the integrity & documentation of financial reporting related to the Commercial activity, its alignment with Colgate Financial Policies (CFPs) & strategies and that all accounting principles are properly followed.

Additional responsibilities from a Commercial Team standpoint include supporting team members' professional development. The Manager, Commercial Finance has overall responsibility for all Commercial customer promotional payments, coordinating the preparation & ensuring the accuracy of all Customer Price Lists, and overseeing all activities related to the preparation & distribution of the Customer P&L's. Oversees the Warehousing and Distribution spend in coordination with the local CS&L Manager and the Division Finance E2E Supply Chain team.

This position is also responsible for coordinating the preparation of all the Commercial review decks associated with all Budget/LE's as well as any ad hoc special request from Commercial Directors. Lastly, this position will be the key Commercial financial representative on any critical corporate projects that are implemented (RGM Team, Atlas team etc).

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum five years previous relevant Accounting/Finance expertise including Brand Accounting and/or Sales Controlling
• Completion of post secondary degree/diploma program with a concentration in accounting and/or finance
• Advanced knowledge of SAP modules (SD, PA, FI) and BI, SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office
• Advanced Experience with Excel and Google suite tools (Sheets, Docs, Slides)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Terms & Conditions, Pricing Principles and Commercial Selling Principles
• Experience with analysis related to commercial/promotional spending
• Demonstrated communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to present to senior level of management
• Ability to influence across functional teams
• Experience managing direct report (s) and providing regular coaching, training, development and feedback
• Experience working with cross functional teams
