Manager, Environmental Services

Position Overview
The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) is now accepting applications for a Manager, Environmental Servicesbased out of its Salmon Arm, BC office.
Under the direction of the General Manager, Environmental and Utility Services, the Manager, Environmental Services is responsible for the management, operations, and maintenance within the Environmental Services division including solid and liquid waste management, recycling, climate action, ground water monitoring, dike maintenance, mosquito control, and milfoil control.
Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited education institution in environmental or civil engineering discipline or a related field.
- Designation as a qualified professional through an affiliation with a recognized institution is an asset.
- Solid Waste Management Association of North American certification as a Certified Landfill Manager or equivalent training and experience is an asset.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in a related role, preferably in local and/or regional government.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Valid BC Driver’s License.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Position Type: Exempt, Full Time Permanent
Salary: $109,981 - $121,558
Hours of Work: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
(Option to work an additional half hour and participate in flex schedule.)
