Position Title: Manager, Inside Operations
Reports to: Branch Manager
Location: GVA (Surrey Branch)
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, this position is responsible for the day-to-day operation and profitability of the Vaulting and Cash Logistics Operations. This includes Vaulting Operations, cash loads preparation and balancing, commercial processing, change fund preparation, and directly managing a varied sized workforce. There is a significant Credit Union processing component that is accountable to this role.
Responsibilities
Monitoring adherence to specific customer reporting requirements in relation to Anti-Money Laundering
Loss investigation and reporting
Commercial processing, ATM, scheduling, and all aspects of the day-to-day operation
Profit and Loss, budget, productivity, efficiency and labour costs
Leading continuous improvement and customer focus based on Lean principles and CPI
Approval of hourly payroll and Salary administration
Monitoring of weekly labour hours
Maintain effective customer relations with local customers, large financial institutions and credit unions
Identify & resolve arising customer issues in an efficient manner and time frame
Contracts and performance
Remain focused on continuous improvement and customer focus initiatives
Leading and developing the Vault, Cash Logistics employees
Training and development of both new and existing employees
Promoting a positive work environment, with focus on employee relations and diversity
Shortlisting, selecting, assessing, interviewing and hiring of a candidate
Make effective recommendations on adequate staffing levels
Maintaining and enhancing a positive relationship with employees through team huddles and other communication methods
Make disciplinary decisions and issue discipline as necessary, consulting with the Branch Manager
Make effective recommendations for terminations to Human Resources, Branch Manager
Investigate and address grievances in a timely fashion and administration of the CBA
Develop employees through daily coaching
Establishing and achieving KPI's
Deliver on safety targets
Ensure procedures and processes are performed in accordance with the GSR and Regional requirements
Chairperson of the Health and Safety Committee
Investigate any workplace Personal Injuries
Report investigation findings to appropriate internal and external authorities and make recommendations for any corrective action
Maintaining all security related documents for auditing
Provide mid-year and end of year evaluation ratings and feedback to direct reports
Qualifications
Position Qualifications:
Action-oriented, able to maintain composure under pressure
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Intermediate working knowledge of PC applications (Word, Excel, outlook)
Able to manage conflicts, and make accurate logical decisions
Able to set targets, establish priorities and meet goals
Can effectively recruit, hire and train staff as needed
Strong internal and external customer focus
Work effectively alone or in team scenarios
Must be able to work flex hours as required
Minimum five years currency processing experience
Financial, accounting and business analysis skills considered an asset

Associate Degree - Desired
Bachelor's Degree - Desired
