Purpose
The Manager – Learning Technology and Governance enables employees and managers through online learning programs and experiences that propel performance while advancing Liberty’s employer brand. Reporting to the Director – Talent Development, the Manager leads a team of specialists who design, develop, and deliver online learning supportive of employee onboarding, enterprise functional knowledge, and company culture.  The Manager is directly responsible for establishing and maintaining governance of enterprise learning and collaborating with the broader HR team and business leads to embed and enhance these programs.

Accountabilities
-Leads a cross functional team of internal stakeholders and external vendors to design, configure, test, implement, and adapt the SAP learning module beginning with the end user experience in mind.
-Partners with functional SMEs to align expectations, create workflows, and align all learning functionality through one system.
-Consults with subject matter experts on training needs to provide recommendations that support the employee experience and business needs.
-Develops and maintains standards and templates for learning experiences at Liberty, ensuring alignment with advances in training Technology and best practices.
-Oversees eLearning development project plans, with capacity for hands-on involvement in design, development and implementation of eLearning programs as required. 
-Supports delivery of virtual instructor-led training experiences for employees related to onboarding, cross-functional industry awareness, and talent processes.
-Researches emerging technologies and builds future-oriented business cases that yield a positive ROI while ensuring not to overwhelm end users by offering solutions that are relevant and user friendly. 
-Responsible for governance of all eLearning hosted in the LMS for quality and alignment to design standards, and accountable for ensuring that business leads are consulted on and aware of employee training requirements.
-Oversees the maintenance and progression of core employee learning experiences and technology related to onboarding, learning, performance, engagement, off-boarding, and Achievement Fund.
-Defines and communicates learning priorities with a strategic approach to aligning learning initiatives based on impact, urgency and strategic importance. 
-Collects feedback from learners, subject matter experts and business leads on learning effectiveness and experience to proactively identify opportunities for enhancement and initiate content review processes. 
-Collaborates with Transition and HR leaders to support M&A activity focused on providing a positive experience for new Liberty team members.
-Advances Liberty from operational and compliance-based reporting to a proactive use of data to inform decision making by also leveraging research of external trends and benchmarking.
-Aligns on and creates reoccurring dashboards of relevance for HR and business leaders. 
-Supports enterprise reporting, including ESG and internal audit, as it relates to employee experience processes and training.
-Responsible for hiring, training, and developing an engaged team that is committed to providing top-notch learning programs and employee experiences.
-Role models engagement in the Performance Development Process (PDP) with team members.
-Continuously develops technical skills of the team through first-hand knowledge of learning design practices and standards. 
-Engages in seeking and giving feedback, including courageous conversations.
 
Education and Experience
-University - Bachelor degree or equivalent
-10+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering online learning 
-3+ years of experience leading a team of Learning Technology professionals 
-Ability to collaborate across functions and regions
-Experience designing enterprise onboarding and training programs
-Certificate or specialized training in learning design and development, and employee engagement is an asset
-Assess learning and development needs and develop learning resources that align with company culture 
-Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking and influencing skills
-Strong organizational, priority management and project management skills
-Exceptional listening skills and ability to relate to employees and leaders at all levels
