About the Opportunity
The Manager, Operational Readiness is responsible for planning and implementing a consistent and detailed process to understand and address the magnitude of change created by transferring or starting up services in redeveloped spaces, for the projects within their zone-based portfolio. Through collaboration with the necessary subject matter experts, both within NSH and government, the Manager will ensure the successful delivery of patient care and ancillary services as construction completes and new spaces come online.
 
This position contributes manager-level strategic and operational leadership to corporate functions which envision, enable and support the delivery of high quality, provincially integrated programs and services to meet the needs of Nova Scotians now and in the future.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Baccalaureate degree in a relevant discipline is required (such as Business, Science, Health Profession, Engineering)
- Master’s degree considered an asset
- Minimum 3 years' experience in hospital or health care services planning, operations or construction is required
- Experience in Operational Readiness planning of largescale initiatives is an asset
- Project Management Professional certification is an asset
- Change management certification is an asset
- Experience in management consulting or professional services in an asset
- Certified Health Executive designation is an asset
- Experience in Management Consulting or Professional Services
- Expertise in project management and change management methodologies and best practice
- Strong problem identification and resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines
- Ability risk assessment and management principles and processes
- Strong communication, planning, presentation and organizational skills
- Experience in hospital planning, operations, redevelopment and knowledge of health care issues
- Proven record of success working with staff, physicians and patients/families
- Experience in working with clinical leaders
- Experience in a leadership role, preferably in health care planning or project management

-Long-assignment, full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly

Compensation and Incentives
$43.91 - $54.88 Hourly
