The team is expanding, and we are hiring for two additional Manager, Stress Testing Analytics reporting to Senior Manager Credit Risk Stress Testing. You will be involved with monthly stress tests at the enterprise level and where applicable with Enterprise-Wide Stress Testing & OSFI mandated Macroeconomic Stress Testing. Ideal candidate has experience in Stress Testing in financial institutions and creation of the reports to be presented to the stakeholders. The second role will be focused on working with large data sets, supporting the data generation and aggregation. You will be preparing the data for the reporting of the results. Strong communication skills, Python, PySpark, SAS, SQL and Power BI required.

Knowledge of Basel Rules and methodology used in measuring Losses and Regulatory Capital, in addition to Credit Risk concepts and parameters (PD, LGD, EAD, etc.)

- Experienced in performing Stress Testing and scenario analysis.

- Sound understanding of macro and micro factors that impact corporate and commercial credit businesses.

- Strong understanding of banks' balance sheets, off balance sheet items, and P&L.

- Exceptional knowledge and experience with SAS, Excel and/or VBA.

- Run Stress Testing models to quantify the impact of various stress scenarios on the credit risk of the banking book.

Uses advanced analytical algorithms and technologies (e.g. machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence) to mine and analyze large sets of structured and unstructured data to obtain insights. Designs and constructs new processes for modeling data. Develops predictive models and leverages big data technology to design solutions that deliver smarter business decisions, improve customer experience, and drive productivity. Collaborates with other data and analytics professionals and teams to optimize, refine and scale analysis into mature analytics solutions.

• Plays an active role in the futuristic display of data, and advancement of innovative data strategies to understand consumer trends and address business problems.
• Uses data mining and extracting usable data from valuable data sources to assess feasibility of AI/ML solutions for improved processing and usage of organization data.
• Conducts large-scale analysis of information to discover patterns and trends by combining different modules and algorithms.
• Uses analysis to provide recommendations and advice for business leaders to maintain to maintain market competitiveness.
• Develops prediction systems and machine learning algorithms. Investigates additional technologies and tools for developing innovative data solutions for business stakeholders.
• Collaborate together with the product team and partners to understand and provide data-driven decision making, business planning and future roadmap.
• Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
• Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
• Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
• Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

- Advanced analytical, problem solving, investigative skills, attention to detail, accuracy, self-driven, and the ability to learn quickly are critical to this position.

- Strong technical skills (financial statements, financial modeling, data manipulation, Pyspark, Python, SAS, SQL, R).

- Critical and strategic thinking.

- Strong writing skills.

- Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.

- 2-3 years relevant work experience in banking or consulting environment.

Data Management

• Process, as necessary, all data required to analyse the Stress Testing models and report results.
• Identify gaps, if any, that exist in the data used in Stress Testing and recommend remediation.
• Provide Business User Testing of new Stress Testing models, processes and calculations
• Develop requirements for enhancement of existing or new Stress Testing tools (B3R, reporting processes, custom calculations, overlays)
