Clean Energy Associates is seeking a motivated, well-rounded individual with exceptional writing skills and an interest in developing content on technical clean energy topics. As a Marketing Communications Specialist, you will take on initiatives within the marketing team in social media, content creation, webinar/event speaker management, promotional campaigns, and other projects. This position offers unique exposure to the marketing function of a global clean energy company. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about the solar PV, energy storage and green hydrogen industries through working closely with a multicultural global team of industry experts.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with each of CEA’s business units to identify marketable data and insights, and work with our subject matter experts to develop and refine messaging
- Craft data-driven insightful content/messaging into marketing vehicles: Social media posts, marketing emails, webinar content, trade show speaking abstracts, podcast agendas, blog posts and trade publication bylines, insight reports/white papers, etc
- Manage CEA’s social media accounts (LinkedIn and X/Twitter), with a focus on posts that share valuable insights with our followers and target audience (goal of one post per business day)

- Manage CEA’s webinars, which will take place around once per month:
- Work with the planned presenter to determine a topic
- Develop content for the webinar as needed, including webinar description and any needed support on the presentation slides.
- Support on promotion via social media and email marketing
- Proactively search for additional vehicles for dissemination of CEA messaging vehicles: additional speaking opportunities, joint webinars, news aggregators, podcasts, social media, etc
- On occasion, support may be needed on the coordination of CEA's participation in trade shows and events – including managing internal logistics for team participation, and liaison with show organizers and third-party vendors for booth preparation, merchandize and collateral design and production
What You'll Need:
- 3+ years experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated track record of clear and concise written communication skills
- Comfort in developing content on technical/niche topics
- Strong interest in clean energy (especially solar or energy storage) and curiosity about how things work and how things are made
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, engineering, or other business-related degree
- Ability to work effectively with a multicultural team based worldwide
- Comfortable working with a remote manager and team
- Location is flexible, but must be able to work North American business hours
- Native-level English speaker
Bonus Points:
- Advanced MS office skills, especially in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Illustrator
- Experience in solar energy industry or renewables energy industry is an advantage
