About the Role:
We are seeking a professional Marketing Coordinator who will work and directly report to the Marketing Manager here in Toronto, Canada. This role will coordinate all the marketing activities and initiatives of Sezzle. They will conduct market research, carry out promotional campaigns, identify target audiences ,evaluate current trends, manage and track creative briefs and will oversee general marketing activities and reporting items. This role will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with new and existing partners to Sezzle.

Key Role Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to help support strategic marketing initiatives and activities for Canada.
  • Help and support the Marketing Manager with the Sezzle marketing plans that include print, digital campaigns ,online content, sponsorships and social media.
  • Support the marketing and design teams by coordinating and collating content alongside the Marketing Manager.
  • Setup tracking & reporting systems for marketing campaigns and online activities.
  • Conduct market research to identify marketing opportunities
  • Develop and manage email marketing design.
  • Create, maintain and strengthen the organization’s overall brand through all media avenues.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Simplify complex data into a user-friendly format such as graphs, charts and other visual aids for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist the Marketing Manager in strengthening merchant co branded presentment and overall relationship building.
  • Assist with the long term success of the business.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing/communications or related (essential or relevant job experience).
  • Two years of experience in content management, creative writing, advertising concepts.
  • Experience in the financial services sector ( not essential but preferred )
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiencies.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret competitor strategies and consumer behavior.
  • Expert knowledge of Active Campaign or similar email marketing systems.
  • Ability to gather large amounts of data and convert it into meaningful analysis.
  • Solid organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work within email marketing design software. Eg Stripo, Braze
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Creative mind with superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex information into a user-friendly format.
  • Proficient in Google Suit, EMS, Braze & Stripo and Salesforce is desired but not required
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
  • Experience in email marketing systems - Eg Braze & Active Campaign
  • Salesforce
  • Has the ability to take creative briefs and turn into content design for email and social media campaigns.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
