Description
Join our team at the County of Brant Public Library to help our community discover today, navigate tomorrow. We are looking for a dynamic marketing and communications professional who will help expand the Library's reach and ensure our messaging is effective.
Duties include:
- Develop, plan, organize and deliver effective print and digital communications
- Develop social media content, ensuring a consistent presence across various platforms
- Support the development of other communication deliverables, including internal and external publications, media relations, and events
- Lead public communication campaigns, including monthly newsletters
- Review and maintain content on County of Brant Public Library website
- Compile monthly online traffic and engagement statistics
- Advise on improvements and enhancements to communications
Minimum qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Library Science
- MIS, MLIS would be an asset
- 2 years relevant experience in a public library or related field
Required skills:
- Demonstrated experience in website management systems and social media content creation
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and SEO
- Excellent communication (both oral and written), judgement, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Proven organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet multiple deadlines
- Ability to be self-directed and work independently
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as required
- Ability to travel to locations throughout Brant County
Compensation: $66,721 to $78,078 (under review), plus a comprehensive benefits package including OMERS pension, extended health benefits, and EFAP.
