The Opportunity:
Postmedia's Product Marketing Department is looking for an intern to help us build our understanding of the competitive landscape and our place within it. Our ideal candidate is someone who can filter relevant information and use it to develop a clear picture of the message appropriately and help us stand out from our competition.
This type of knowledge is critical for us as we refine our brand and product positioning and we need someone who can help translate those insights into actions.
What you’ll do:
- Gather competitive intelligence and market insights
- Build stories and messaging for internal teams to leverage
- Validate insights to apply to positioning and sales enablement
- Conduct need assessment with the teams to address gaps in intel
- Make recommendations of what we can do better or differently to compete
- Own the competitive intelligence program and monthly newsletter
- You have an innate curiosity that drives you to ask questions and probe for answers
- You have the initiative to take requests as far as they can go (and beyond)
- You have the skills to gather research from all types of sources (online searches, stakeholder interviews, corporate info, etc.)
- You have strong attention to detail and ability to work with different teams in an organization
