Department Overview

The Marketing & Offer Management (M&OM) Technology Team
Our team, residing within the Customer Experience Platform – Shopping product family, is responsible for the design, build, implementation, and support of technology solutions that deliver customers meaningful, personalized, time and context relevant advice, alerts, and offers. On our team you will be exposed to a wide array of technologies used to deliver an end-to-end customer experience related capability using a mix of custom-built applications, commercial off-the-shelf software solutions, and cloud hosted services. Job Details

We are looking for someone that can work with business and technical partners to define requirements and convert those requirements into an end-to-end design of a solution detailing what must be built, configured, and implemented. Components would be designed with focus on analytics that measure success, features that make the product easy to support, and with consideration towards automated and thorough testing.

A great candidate will have experience in custom Java, API, and web UI development, interface development (batch and real-time), data modeling, application and system security, and software installation experience in a multi-tiered environment. An ideal candidate will additionally have experience with marketing technologies like those delivered by HCL Unica, Salesforce, Adobe, Lytics, other vendors, and custom-built applications that help to deliver real-time best offers and campaign management capabilities.

The selected candidate would be expected to work closely with the scrum master and/or delivery lead to provide tasks and effort estimates, to work with architects to select the ideal technological components, to work with the business information security officer, and to work with developers to develop and deliver technical solutions the candidate played a key role in designing.

CUSTOMER:

  • Responsible for developing and documenting detailed Solution Design and acting as an application SME through the design and development lifecycle ensuring alignment with Architecture
  • May also be accountable for complex applications/systems development, programming /coding
  • Lead the creation of solution options and ultimately a comprehensive end-to-end solution and coordinate relevant stakeholders, as required to support development initiatives
  • Provide estimates for new projects and initiatives for the development / design component of the overall plan working with relevant team members / stakeholders

SHAREHOLDER:

  • Review technical deliverables throughout detailed design and development phase to ensure quality adherence and identify gaps or redesign requirements as needed
  • Work with the Technology Project Manager, Business Analysts / Systems Analysts, and other team members to define metrics and performance goals for the application
  • Comply with well-defined enterprise technology delivery practices and standards and project management disciplines, business technology architecture, and risk and production capacity – including development of project documentation of system requirements, estimates of scope and cost, etc.
  • Deliver effective and efficient solutions by meeting key project milestones and ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget, and adhere to the corporate quality and security standards
  • Assist in the identification of opportunities to minimize cost, provide recommendations and/or deliver corresponding strategic solutions to support cost effectiveness and to enhance stakeholder experience
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to quality, standards compliance, reusability and ease of maintenance, Operational Readiness Reviews, and supporting gating and review signoffs for Solution Design

BREADTH & DEPTH:

  • Provides technical expertise and guidance to others in a lead capacity and works autonomously
  • Expert knowledge of the business, the broader organization, technical environment, processes, procedures, tools and other relevant technology areas (e.g. Architecture, Infrastructure, Security etc.) from a design / support / solutions perspective
  • Primary subject matter expert in multiple areas and consults with clients/or project teams with respect to all aspects of research, analysis, design, hardware / software support and/or development of technical solutions and/or testing
Job Requirements

Key attributes we are looking for:

  • 7+ years relevant experience
  • Expert knowledge in marketing technologies (e.g. HCL Unica, Salesforce), or expert knowledge of TD and its technical environments, or relevant technologies (e.g. Java, Web and API development, PL/SQL), processes, procedures, tools and other relevant technology areas (e.g. Architecture, Infrastructure, Security etc.) from a design / support / solutions perspective
  • Experience working in Agile teams
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with the following:
    • Multiple database server types (Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, etc.) including experience writing complex SQL
    • Data lakes and data modelling for data warehousing, data hubs, and/or analytics
    • Multiple OS types (Windows, Linux, UNIX, etc.) including experience writing shell and batch scripts
    • Application server technologies (JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, etc.)
    • Job scheduling (e.g. CA Autosys)
    • Multiple programming languages (general purpose, scripting, domain specific, etc.) such as Java and Python
    • Authentication methods and standards
    • Secure application development
    • Experience on projects which implemented new technology (both COTS/SaaS and fully custom) with involvement in the project from start to finish
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and to provide on-call support
    • Superior communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with cloud (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud)
  • Previous banking and HCL Unica Campaigns or HCL Unica Interact experience
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and CDP components
  • Mainframe JCL and COBOL experience
  • Proficiency in leading complex and comprehensive project plan development
