As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for assisting the shipping departments with general labor, forklift operation as needed to ship finished modular buildings to the clients, as well as other material handling activities within our Calgary Manufacturing facility. This is a union role.
What Else You Get To Do :
- Modular Unit close-up, Installation of wheels and axles on trailer frames.
- Picking and loading materials for shipment as per paperwork, crating if necessary.
- Support the Production team with line moves as required.
- Operate Forklift and unload incoming shipments from transport trailers.
- Process receiving paperwork such as packing slips and bill of lading.
- Deliver materials to workstations and storage locations.
- Complete inventory consumption on all inventory transactions relocations.
- Assist with garbage and recycling removal process.
- Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
- A Certified Forklift Operator License and previous Forklift and warehouse experience are desirable.
- Knowledge and experience with material-receiving processes and cycle counts.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Comfortable using ERP system on computer/smartphone.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday,6:30 am to 3:30 pm, with flexibility to work at times from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
