Job Description: In accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the Saskatchewan Health Authority and Mental Health and Addictions services, the incumbent is accountable for provision of direct concurrent Mental Health and addiction services to adults and their families. These services will include individual, group and family counseling, case management, and public education/consultation in the area of Mental Health and addictions. The incumbent shall function within the practice principles of the Mental Health and Addictions Services' program management model.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Human Service Field
Eligibility for registration in corresponding professional association
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Experience
Previous experience in teaching, facilitation skills, leading group activities.
Recent experience with a combination of clinical management preferable in relation to Mental Health and addictions, primary health care, integrated care or community health care.
Counseling skills, knowledge and experience in dealing with a wide range of problems and issues.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to develop, lead and maintain family-centered, integrated case teams, using Wraparound principles and including individuals from the clients' formal and informal support systems
Ability to initiate, plan and conduct treatment groups and/or education for clients and in-service training for staff, caregivers, and other professionals
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Apply ethical, culturally sensitive and legal principles in practice with peer
