Your Internship

 

Based in Thunder Bay, Ontario, you will be responsible to support the Head of Industrial Quality Thunder Bay and the Site Quality Director on various digitalization initiatives ongoing with the express intent of helping the organization improve its transition to a new ERP system and improve data insight and analytics on current Train projects.

 

As part of your job, you will be asked to:

  • Participate in the digitalization strategy of the Thunder Bay site
  • Develop, automate, and support dashboards and database creation for projects and departments
  • Participate in the design, code, create, tests, and integration of digital tools across the site
  • Perform analysis on databases to aid the organization in making data driven business decision
  • Support Project Core team Monthly Reviews and related activities
  • Support Monthly Senior Leadership Project Reviews
  • Monitor key performance indicators and visualize data for the organization

 

YOUR PROFILE 

 

As our ideal candidate, you:

  • Are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or Data Science
  • Have a Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Are Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • SAP, Jira, Power BI and Azure knowledge is an asset
  • DAX, M language, Power Query, SQL (variants), and VBA experience is an asset
  • Have strong analytical skills with an ability to learn in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Agile/ Scrum Framework knowledge is an asset
  • Have strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Thrive in a team oriented and autonomous work environment
  • Are fluent in English, spoken & written.
