Department OverviewTD Equipment Finance (TDEF), within the Specialized Finance Group of the Business Bank is a center of excellence for the bank where the primary role is providing equipment financing (leases and loans) to eligible business clients. The Manager of Operations – Documentation Team is responsible for the management of a diverse team that generates all documentation, collateral, security registration and any additional requirements to comply with credit authorization and all Bank Compliance requirements.

As part of the TDEF Operations team the individual will join the team who manages TDEF Operations Team that manages the journey of the deal. The position reports to the Sr. Manager Operations and interfaces closely with TDEF Sales, TDEF Credit, TD Commercial Banking Centres and FRG. The Manager of Audit & Funding requires deep industry knowledge of all types of transactions, security and Bank Compliance requirements.

The position is accountable for achieving the TD Business Banking Quest in addition to delivering a superior customer experience while driving profitable business growth in the Equipment Financed business

Job Details
Accountabilities to the Shareholder
Effective use of CARMA Credit, Sales Force, Ekip, Tvalue and other software systems.
Develop and manage a diverse team, evolving process, efficiency and reporting to further streamline the business.
Assisting in the success of the TDEF Business.
Accountability to Credit & Operational Risk
Ensure process, procedures and training is developed for the team to assist the improvement of the process.
Effectively manage all escalations.
Ensure the accurately prepares the documentation package in alignment with the TDEF Credit Policy, Business Banking Compliance Requirements including KYC/KYB and meet or exceed SLAs where possible.
Support the Business in establishing controls or reviews where and when required as the Business expands into SBB marketplace.
Complete all compliance training and attestations within required timelines.
Be knowledgeable of and comply with Bank and Industry Codes of Conduct
Interpret and apply TDs risk management strategy.
Ability to make decisions in a fast paced, short deadline environment.
Implement and operate systems to identify and mitigate operational risk issues.
Recommend improvements to the current process if efficiencies can be achieved.
Accountability to the Customer
Deliver exceptional service at every interaction and execute on plans to continuously improve the customer experience and speed to market.
Constantly build knowledge and SME with respect to process, documentation, TDEF Credit Policy and Compliance.
Resolve customer and internal partner issues to deliver a positive customer experience.
Structure creative competitive solutions to meet customer needs.
Enhance TDBFG brand by participating at network events in your community.
Coach team members in developing creative Equipment Finance solutions that add value for our customers.
Employ industry best practices while working within the Banks guidelines to make TDEF the Better Bank Equipment Finance Company and become the Subject Matter Expert for Equipment Finance.
Accountability to the Team
Provide subject matter expertise in documentation and PPSA security registration.

Actively coach and provide feedback through formal and informal performance management of a large team.
Build and maintain solid relationships with internal fulfillment partners to maximize efficiency and build team skill level.
Continue to gain knowledge of the Equipment Finance Industry by attending trade shows, conferences and leveraging the existing TDEF team to gain knowledge of equipment and /or structure.
Participate in meetings with CBCs, TDEF Credit and TDEF Sales to better understand the Customer/CBCs experience and expectations.
