What role you will play in our team


Provide technical engineering expertise to Imperials Midstream Business, CFO (Canada Fuels Operations). Examples include but are not limited to resolving equipment related issues, providing technical solutions to risk findings, endorsement of facility changes and creating professional engineering documents under oversight of an experienced engineer.

What you will do


  • Incumbent will provide day to day, multi-discipline technical assistance and support to CFO sites/departments focused on Western Canada
  • Participate in incident investigations as requested, and attend risk assessment reviews as the technical point of contact with support from subject matter experts or other knowledgeable people
  • Support CFO efforts to achieve operational excellence through continuous improvements in facilities, optimizing assets and improving reliability through equipment maintenance strategies.
  • Work with CFO terminals to develop/enhance operating procedures and standardization of processes.
  • Provide oversight of detailed engineering consultant project work, including review/approval of drawings and technical specs and seek resolution of any discrepancies that may develop
  • Provide support to Operations for projects that may be led/executed by other IOL departments and provide guidance during the management of change process.
  • Strive for the goal of zero incidents, by ensuring employees, contractors and visitors adhere to our safety and security policies, including personal protective equipment.

About you


Skills and Qualifications


  • Must hold an engineering degree from a Canadian Accredited University and professional designation as E.I.T or P.Eng (or working towards).

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience


  • Strong safety mindset/culture demonstrated during all aspects of work
  • Clear communications, interpersonal and issues resolution skills in a diverse team environment
  • Efficient planning, organizational, and decision-making skills while influencing various operations or stakeholders.
  • Multitasking skills are essential to keep on top of issues, new requests and base program execution while using prioritization skills to deliver impactful results.
  • Ability and perseverance to follow–up, resolve and close issues and items promptly in a independent manner.
  • Support travel to various operations in Western Canada up to one week a month
  • Computer usage skills; MS Project, Word, Excel, email and other desk top software.
