General Accountability
Reporting to the Mill or Location manager, the Mill Man /Feed Truck Driver/Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe operation of feed truck. The incumbent will also be responsible for numerous duties including customer service, operating grain handling equipment, fertilizer blending and delivery equipment and crop spraying equipment. He/she will be expected to work extended hours during seeding and harvesting season.
Nature and scope
The incumbent will also load and unload feed trucks as well as drive the feed delivery truck, grease and oil machinery and perform other general duties in the mill /warehouse /Grain Elevator as required.
Job Duties:
· Performs regular maintenance on equipment as directed.
· Loads, unloads trucks and cars, bags off feed; checks weights, etc...
· Performs general housekeeping duties in the mill and warehouse.
· Take payments from farmers, when required
· Maintains truck associated equipment in a safe, clean and workable condition.
· Must be safety conscious; know steps and procedures required in case of an accident.
· Maintains current legislated and Company required licenses, certificates and permits.
· Has good knowledge of the Highway Traffic Act, practices safe driving techniques and maintains a good driving record.
· Reports any convictions under the Highway Traffic Act.
· Maintains good relations with farmers and customers.
· Required to assist in bag production (filling, sewing & stacking of bags) and other duties to assist co-workers and customers at counter.
· Be aware of steps and procedures required in case of accidents involving hazardous products and follow procedures as stipulated
· Promote Co-opérative Régionale’s products, services and philosophy
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required qualifications and experience:
- Grade 12 required
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Valid DZ License
- Over two (2) years’ experience in the agriculture sector would be considered an asset
- Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques
- High level of personal integrity
- Strong work ethic
- Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Confident, consistent decisive personality
- Must be able to work with little supervision
- Good knowledge of the Highway Traffic
- Knowledge of the Co-op’s organization, policies and principles
Work Conditions

Salary: $20.81-$24.00 per hour
