The Mobile Crane will report to the Installation Manager This individual will need to ensure that by operating the crane, materials get moved safely and accurately into place. Position requires travel to and from job sites where long hours are involved. Overnight stays are occasionally involved depending on the job location and requirements.
Our head office location is in Harley, ON (between Woodstock, ON and Brantford, ON). The position will be based out of this office.
THE DAY TO DAY
- Move crane to and from job sites
- Safely operate a crane while maintaining communication with ground crew for safe and efficient rigging and unrigging
- Ability to perform pre-operational inspections
- Calculating cranes capabilities and weight to ensure you have the proper equipment for rigging and hoisting.
- Understanding the crane's load chart, notes and warnings and be able to calculate or determine the crane's actual net capacity for all possible configurations of the machine
- Competent in completing all necessary pre-job paperwork as well as log book following the completion of the job
WHAT YOU NEED
An effective Mobile Crane Operator at Stubbe’s must have:
- Journeymen Red Seal Mobile Crane Certification
- Must hold a valid class AZ driver’s license
- Must understand the functions and limitations of the crane
- Have the ability to problem solve and handle high stress situations in a professional manner
- Oversee crane's general condition and notify management when maintenance is required
- Ability to work independently as well as with team members
- Staying alert and maintain a high level of concentration
- Represent the company, resolving customer concerns and keeping a positive attitude
- Mechanical ability to make minor repairs when necessary
