Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts
- Follow recipes and measurements accurately to ensure consistent quality
- Operate and maintain baking equipment and tools
- Monitor baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection
- Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing manner
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of baking supplies
Skills:
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on baking techniques
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils used in baking
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
- Experience working in the food industry, preferably in a bakery or restaurant setting
- Proficiency in using knives and other baking tools
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adjust ingredients as needed
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of pastry techniques and ability to create visually appealing presentations
