Work Arrangements: You will work from your home office 100% of the time. You may be required to be in-person at our office in Waterloo, ON or another assigned location within the Waterloo Region, on an as needed basis. Sales related roles may be required to travel based on the assignment.
The Opportunity:Equitable is growing! We are looking for a National Vice PresidentDistributor & Industry Engagement to join our Individual Insurance team!
The incumbent will focus on creating sales opportunities, and directly growing sales and market share through strategic MGA and National Account distribution partnerships, with the objective to maximize Equitable's opportunities. In addition, this role will develop and implement strategic Industry Engagement opportunities, with the objective of building Equitable's presence in the Canadian insurance industry, achieving growth targets and growing market share. Finally, this role will have direct leadership of our high-profile experts in the field - our Advanced Case Consultants & our Tax & Estate Planning Consultant.

What you will be doing:
- Delivering sales results
- Be the Equitable brand in the marketplace across Canada
- Develop effective MGA and NA channel strategies
- Key relationship management with our MGA and Account distributors
- Lead and partner with our advanced market sales force
- Represent Equitable with industry bodies such as CALU, Advocis, CAILBA and industry committees
- Seek out new and future distribution opportunities
- Assist in developing National sales programs and incentives
- Develop a plan that reflect opportunities and threats in the marketplace
What you will bring:
- Minimum 10 years of individual sales experience
- Demonstrated leadership and proven performance management experience.
- Advanced knowledge of individual life insurance and high-end markets
- Ability to motivate and lead a remote team of high performers
- Outstanding reputation and experience working with the Canadian MGA and National Account marketplace
- Exceptional organizational, relationship management & time management skills
- Proven public speaking abilities including large & diverse audiences
- Negotiation skills to ensure effective outcomes.
- Exceptional industry reputation across all distribution partners and channels
- Industry designations such as CFP, CLU, CHS, CH.FC
- Outstanding decision-making skills, strategic thinking, and planning abilities.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
