The Transport Planning team is responsible for design and certification of the core transport network and components that provide the backbone for all Eastlink Services. Transport planning includes life cycle management, standardizations of hardware and software, analysis of global trends and improvements/changes in photonics and providing rolling 5-year road map of plan and budget.
This position provides assistance to planners and project managers as required for various projects and deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Tracking and Coding of Invoices to Monthly Budgets
Assisting Change Control with identifying services
Network Documentation including work plans
Inventory Management including cross connects and equipment
Liaison with other departments, including opening/tracking tickets in the appropriate queues
Overseeing shipping/receiving of network equipment for projects at remote locations
Requirements:
Valid Class 5 driver's license
At least 6 months of related experience
Lifting/pushing/pulling items up to 50lbs is expected
College Diploma or Technical Certification
