Job Description: Reporting to the Manager Multidisciplinary Teams (Clinical Standards and Professional Practice, the Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) integrates skills, knowledge and the principles of adult teaching and learning in the provision of educational programs/services to nursing staff within Saskatchewan Health Authority. The CNE will provide visible, proactive leadership and promote the delivery of safe, client centred care through the application of practice standards. In consultation with the Manager Multidisciplinary Teams (Clinical Standards and Professional Practice), the CNE is responsible for identifying and prioritizing the clinical learning needs across the spectrum of nursing services within Saskatchewan Health Authority.
The CNE is responsible for planning, presenting and/or organizing clinical educational presentations and evaluating these educational activities/programs, while working within budgetary parameters. The CNE is responsible for maintaining attendance records.
The CNE participates in the development of strategies, policies and procedures to achieve the overall goals and objectives of the Clinical Education Program in accordance with the Vision, Mission, Values and strategic plan of Saskatchewan Health Authority.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Minimum 5 years recent acute care clinical experience.
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Intermediate computer skills
