Occupational Therapist

```Overview:
We are currently seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our team in Victoria, BC. This is a mobile role where the OT would be visiting locations such as private homes, private long term care facilities, office settings and industrial settings. The OT will be responsible for supporting clients in their functional rehabilitation journey and assisting our team of healthcare professionals in delivering the highest quality care.

Qualifications

• Recognized Occupational Therapy degree (ex. BScOT or MOT)
• Previous experience working in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is an asset
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
• Current First Aid and CPR certification

Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' physical, mental, and emotional capabilities
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' specific needs and goals
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and sensory processing
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices to enhance their daily functioning
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, Rehabilitation Assistants and Respiratory Therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on strategies for managing daily activities and promoting independence

Experience:
- Previous experience in case management, preferably in a community health setting
- Strong background in working with older adult clients.
- Proficient in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $61.00-$81.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
