What can I expect to do in this role?
You will:- direct workload, handle office purchasing and perform various administrative functions
- administer operational support services in the Office of the Director of Crown Operations while providing leadership to support staff
- develop, implement and review processes
- advise and train support staff
- provide administrative support to the office while maintaining and processing court case files and liaising with a variety of clients and stakeholders
How do I qualify?
Mandatory
- You can type 50 words per minute using a personal computer with standard software and you have diction skills at 70% assessed using a paper-based test.
Knowledge and Skill:
- you have established legal administration and secretarial experience including a thorough knowledge of office procedures
- you have working knowledge of legal terminology and practices and procedures of the criminal justice system, with the ability to produce legal documents in proper format
Interpersonal and Communication Skills:
- you have effective leadership ability to oversee program administration, and the ability to work independently
- you have excellent oral and written communication skills to manage correspondence
- you have good judgement, excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
Computer Skills:
- you have excellent knowledge and ability to use personal computer equipment with standard software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and customized database applications including Word and Excel
