Tuesday-Friday
8:00am – 4:30pm (32 hours = Full-Time)
12:00-12:30 unpaid lunch break.
Primary Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors, handling phone calls, directing inquiries to appropriate individuals.
- Reads and responds to emails.
- Completes clerical tasks as necessary, including typing, filing, and copying.
- Completion of pamphlet board and updating it as needed.
- Acts as liaison to other volunteer organizations and church-affiliated committees.
- Recording Mass intentions, Sacramental registration information and issuing Sacramental certificates (Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage, etc.).
- Assists in writing, editing, printing, and distributing the weekly church bulletin.
- Schedule meetings for Priests and office employees.
- Maintaining and updating Parish calendar of all parish and school events.
- Order supplies for the office and Parish as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Pastor when required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Has a positive, friendly and courteous demeanour, and works well with a wide range of different personalities.
- Demonstrates the ability to clearly and effectively communicate information to parishioners and visitors.
- Demonstrates patience and understanding when dealing with confused, grieving, or difficult visitors to the office.
- Must be discreet, tactful, and capable of honoring confidential communications.
- Should always exhibit professionalism in appearance, work ethic, and accountability.
- Should give attention to details with an eye for excellence as well.
- Should be a self-starter, good at multitasking and prioritizing projects.
- Should have the ability to work independently without supervision.
- Possesses knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Google Calendar.
- Excellent Knowledge of English Composition and Punctuation
