On- Call/ Casual Security Guards

Are you committed to protecting your community? Blackbird Security is seeking to hire On-Call / Casual Security Guards in Surrey, BC for a variety of sites. (Change if required)

What you will do

• Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft
• Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers and patrons
• Patrol the premises, provide access control and respond to emergency situations in an appropriate and timely manner
• Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
• Complete incident reports for security purposes
• Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement agencies as required

The Ideal Candidate

• A Valid Security License
• Flexible Availability
• Previous security experience in a retail environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills’
• Ability to work without close supervision
• Willing to stand and patrol for the duration of the shift
• Advanced Security Training - authorization to carry handcuffs

Job Type: Casual

Salary: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Holidays
• Night shift
• On call
• Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Surrey, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Security: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

• English (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Security Guard Licence (required)
• Driving Licence (preferred)
